That’s enough to take the shine off of any ultra-luxury dream car. But, don’t worry, it’ll be getting a proper patch-up before you have the opportunity to purchase the vehicle for a jaw-dropping amount of money.
Christie’s has announced the charity auction, beginning in late September, with Bond’s flashy wheels, the 6-liter, V12, 510 Horsepower Aston Martin DBS two-door Coupe, taking the top spot.

The
entire auction seems tailor-made for the Bond devotee who wants to collect
obscure memorabilia like, say, a smaller-scale replica of the space shuttle
used in 1979′s Moonraker (see pg. 62 in the OFFICIAL AUCTION
CATALOGUE - Link provided below) or Pierce Brosnan’s two-piece charcoal suit
worn in 1999′s The World Is Not Enough (pg. 100-101). Also up for
auction, rather unbelievably, is a “Please Do Not Disturb” sign that afforded a
degree of privacy to Bond (and perhaps someone else) in a hotel room in 1964′s Goldfinger
(pg. 28-29).
My
personal favorite? The golden belt worn by Francisco Scaramanga (Christopher
Lee) during, The Man with the Golden Gun
(1974). The belt is fastened by two buckles - which are golden bullets (pg.
54-55). Nice!

The
classic 1963 Aston Martin DB5 that featured in both Goldfinger (1964) and
Thunderball (1965), the one with the revolving registration plate, ejector
seat, and machine guns, was sold for £2,912,000 ($4,608,500) at RM Auctions on
the 27th October 2010 to an American bidder who plans to display it
at his private collection in Ohio. 4.6 Million Dollars?!?
